  • ABOUT SEAN

Sean Stemaly was born in Western Kentucky and raised in the river-bottom fields of Southern Indiana, a hard-worker whose Country music comes straight from the only life he knows. Stemaly taught himself to sing over endless days in the cab of a Case IH 9370 tractor, planting the seeds of stardom to the sound of icons like Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Alan Jackson and Jason Aldean. Now signed to Big Loud Records, the 26-year-old diesel wrenching, heavy-equipment operating talent has tallied over 64 MILLION on-demand streams, infusing modern Country with youthful, salt-of-the-earth swagger and rocked up heartland soul – a sound that’s both fresh and based in timeless traditions. He’s penned countless songs in Music City’s vibrant collaborative scene – including on-fire release “Come Back To Bed,” whose top-viewed music video has already tallied over 6.6 MILLION views – and is currently working on his debut studio recordings with superstar producer Joey Moi. The 2021 Pandora Country Artist to Watch has already hit the road with Riley Green, HARDY, LANCO, and Chris Lane among others, and his story is only just beginning to grow.

Moving to a “10 year town” with almost 0 music Moving to a “10 year town” with almost 0 music experience wasn’t an easy thing to do. I was just a southern Indiana boy that had been on a tractor his whole life. I knew the chances were slim but I also knew I had the work ethic to make it possible that God had a plan for me. My grandpa and my parents raised me to work my ass off at anything I do. I told myself “3 years... that’s the goal. If I don’t have a deal in 3 years, I’ll go back home”. That was June of 2017. I signed a record deal on August 7th of 2019 and got a publishing deal a few months before that. In those couple years I taught myself how to play guitar good enough to write songs, built a network and team of the best people in the world to work with, played a lot of shows at whatever places would have me, and kept my head down no matter what. That’s it. My grandpa always told me “boy, you gotta take pride in everything you do and do your best at any job you take” and I’ve held that with me my whole life. I didn’t grow up playing music or singing. I didn’t even know I could sing at all till I was 20 years old. When I started this I was doubted and made fun of and that’s fine. I knew it was something I could do that makes me happy and the ones that had my back were the real ones. I’m not making this post to brag on myself so don’t take it that way. I’m telling y’all this because I want you to know you can do whatever the hell you put your mind to if you work hard for it. Don’t hold back because of peoples opinions or because you’re scared. Do the damn thing and be happy. I’m not the best song writer in the world and I’m not the best singer in the world but I stay honest and true to myself, work hard every day and I don’t forget where I came from. That’s success in my opinion. All love -Seandeere from Kentuckiana
